Jeanne Dake began riding as a child at Meridith Manor. She returned to Meridith Manor after college to train with then Olympic coach Bengt Lundquist, teach dressage, and develop a counseling program for the college. While working on her Masters Degree in counseling and education she decided to combine her passion for dressage with her interest in how people learn. This led her to training and teaching. Classically trained in Germany and the US, her main teachers were Karl Mikolka and Colonel Von Ziegner. She has won numerous awards Training Level through Grand Prix, including her Gold Medal. She has trained understudies to become professionals in the dressage field and has trained riders Novice through Grand Prix.
Her priority is keeping solid basics through all levels by basing her teaching and training on the dressage training tree. Her focus is on helping riders pursue their goals whether it’s competition or personal growth in their training program, while striving to keep horses happy in their work.
